Our Approach to Grantmaking

CGRE supports efforts that advance gender equity and reproductive health, rights, and justice, with a commitment to organizations that center the needs and leadership of directly impacted communities.

We combine a rigorous data-driven funding strategy, deep expertise around movement needs and priorities and trust and credibility with our robust network of national and local partners to create tangible impacts.

Our partners are working towards a vision of gender equity that includes economic opportunity, reproductive autonomy, racial justice and a representative democracy through civic engagement, movement-building and policy advocacy.

Cgre grants

For state-based work we prioritize groups in Georgia, New Mexico, Michigan, and Texas. For national work we consider groups focused on federal policy and those with deep connection to coalitions that work across specific states (including but not limited to our priority states).

CGRE is building a community for learning, experimentation, shared questions, and solutions.

CGRE believes that investments in individuals and organizations are foundational to developing strong movements and healthy ecosystems of care and action, and to realizing the world in which we wish to live. In support of this aim, CGRE has launched a multi-faceted Capacity Strengthening Initiative. The LeadersTrust works alongside the CGRE team to help design, organize, and deliver these capacity strengthening resources. Read more here.

Launched by CGRE in 2022, the Alliance Table is a learning community of movement organizations and donors working to advance gender, racial, and reproductive justice while building our collective understanding of right wing movements as well as our capacity to create responsive strategies.
