CGRE’s Opportunity Fund allows us to make short-term investments in timely, unanticipated opportunities or rapid responses to threats.

Organizations across the country find themselves in defense mode as challenges to gender, reproductive, and racial equity grow rapidly. In the wake of a multitude of threats, we provide funding to grantee partners so they can take direct action and support their communities in the ways they know best.

“We have risen to meet the skyrocketing demand for our one-of-a-kind services for people experiencing a range of reproductive oppressions and state violence. With rapid response funding from the Collaborative for Gender + Reproductive Equity, the Repro Legal Defense Fund has supported over two dozen clients with pretrial release funds, legal fees, and holistic case support. We also expanded our scope beyond self-managed abortion to serve clinic-based and tele-health abortion seekers, providers, and people who help others obtain these forms of abortion care."
